Earth Care Jamboree

Annual Earth Care Jamboree


Saturday, September 12, 11am-6pm

@ the Arctic Valley Ski Chalet

Join us for a celebration: celebrate the sacred; discuss the problem of climate change and how we can address it through an interfaith lens. Spend the day listening to live music, enjoying local food, listening to guest speakers and panels, and participating in trainings. Learn about the different ways that organizations and faith communities are working to mitigate climate change; leave feeling inspired and empowered to take action.

In preparation for our upcoming Earth Care Jamboree, we are currently seeking support and sponsorship. Below are the levels of volunteerism and sponsorship for the Jamboree.

  • Money- Donate an amount that is meaningful to you and/or your community/organization
  • LEVEL 1: $500-1000 earn name and logo on poster as co-host plus mention at event
  • LEVEL 2: $250-499 earn name and logo on poster as sponsor plus mention at event 
  • LEVEL 3: $100-249 earn name on poster as sponsor
  • Time in Preparation for the Jamboree- Donate your and/or others’ time to help in planning the jamboree. This entails participating in planning meetings every 2-3 weeks. Meetings are two hours long, and often require 1-3 hours of work afterwards to accomplish specific action items.
  • Time During the Jamboree- Donate your time to help out with the Jamboree on Saturday, September 12, 2015. Volunteers will work in shifts on the day of the event, so that everyone is also able to participate in the Jamboree.
  • Recruitment- Donate your time to recruiting people from your community to attend the Jamboree.
  • Transportation- Donate shuttle buses/vans and drivers to help transport individuals to Arctic Valley on the day of the event
  • Host Community Discussion on Climate Change-commit to hosting an event(s) focused on issues of climate change in your faith community
